Hi, I'm Matt
I'm a 3rd year veterinary student at the wonderful VMRCVM!
Following graduation, I plan to become a board certified criticalist in small animal medicine, and potentially anesthesia/analgesia.  Additionally, I have a strong interest in small mammal medicine, particularly rabbits.  In the future, I plan on opening my own Veterinary Referral Center and eventually go into teaching to help train the next generation of veterinarians and Critical Care specialists! Recently I have found myself to become more involved with public relations, brand management, building rapport with companies and leaders and I am really enjoying it!  If you're looking for someone with a strong background in anesthesiology, critical care, multimodal pain management, and pharmacology, then I am your guy!
Qi Veterinary Clinic | Wholistic Medicine
Before getting into the Virginia Tech vet school, I worked in a variety of clinics as a veterinary technician.
I worked for an alternative veterinary clinic that used acupuncture, chiropractic, and Chinese herbs for two years full-time where we did a lot of nutritional and lifestyle counseling.  During this time, I was also working as an Overnight ICU Technician at Vermont’s only Equine Specialty and Emergency Hospital here and there for a year and a half.
Mountain View Humane Society
After moving to VA I started and still volunteer at Mountain View Humane Society to get a break from Emergency/Critical Care clinics/life.
Another reason why I chose to volunteer at the Mountain View Humane Society was that I wanted more experience with lower-cost medicine (definitely still high quality!)
